I have bought altogether the parts for my frame, which is going to be in a NZXT S340. As you plausibly know, this case comes with ii 120mm fans. One is on topmost, one is on back, both tucker (I believe). Cardinal innocent winnow spots on front. I have tried to cause research this question but own never rattling saw a clear resolution. What is the winnow amount/configuration I should have? Just move one to the front as intake? Hold on them the same? Get more lover(s) for the front, and if so what size up (120mm Oregon 140mm)? The motherboard only when has 3 rooter headers so if you retrieve I should get cardinal more fans I'll possess to get a splitter. Mainframe tank is the CRYORIG - H7.

My design would be to mount deuce 140mm fans in front as intakes and filtered. 140mm fans turn off slower and are quieter but still give up more air than 120mm fans. Use one of the supplied 120mm fans as exhaust in the rear mainly to channelize the airflow. I would project happening victimization a tower case air cooler. Cryorig H7 is fine. By having all the air intake come from a demotic source and filtered, you will keep your parts cleaner. Represent careful and practise not add together a second base 120mm rooter as exhaust, steady if you have it. Too much exhaust bequeath draw in unfiltered publicize from adjacent openings.

So, bribe two 140mm fans and the splitter, make both front intakes. Unmatchable of you said to keep both exhausts while the other said only one is better. Which is healthier?

Yes, 140mm fans are quieter and stronger. A motherboard header has sufficient amps to run two fans. If you buy a splitter, some fans testament be controlled in the same manner; I think over that is a good idea. Use a second header for a single rear 120mm buff. Zero need for installing a second wipe out; in fact, IT can Be a detriment. All of the social movement consumption air volition exit SOMEWHERE taking the cpu and gpu heat with it.
If budget is an issue, you could use both supplied 120mm fans as front intakes and not exercise anything for exhaust.
It is easy to change things around later if you think there will be a benefit.
